Introduction
Pre-Arrival
•Bookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax or phone •The nearest bus stop in the town is 150 metres from the entrance. •The nearest train station (Buxton) is 0.5 miles away; there are accessible taxis at the station •The nearest RADAR toilet is in the town approx 800 metres from the cottage
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
•Car park is tarmac on a slope up towards the cottage. •There is also on street parking •The entrance is flat (door hinged on the right). The door is 76cm wide. •The car parking is15 metres away from the cottage entrance •The entrance is reached through the car park gate (76cm wide) and via a path 1 metre wide sloping downwards along a cobbled path.
Main Entrance
•The door is 76cm wide inwards opening directly into the kitchen area. The key hole is 140cm high. •There is a threshold of 5cm when entering the cottage
General
(Internal) •Contrasting colours for skirting, carpet and doors •Rooms carpeted throughout with short pile carpet •Smoke alarm fitted in kitchen and upstairs landing
Dining Room & Lounge
•Round Table (moveable side to side) – legs on each corner, 65cm floor to lowest point of table (underspace), 1.2 metres long, 1 metre wide and 75cm high •Chairs (moveable) – 2 chairs with padded seat and arms. There are 2 folding chairs under the stairs if needed. •There is insufficient space for wheel chairs to manoeuvre throughout the whole cottage. •Flooring is short pile carpet throughout •Furniture is moveable and all is non feather. •One double sofa and one low level rocking chair provided with arms. •Teletext TV provided with remote control (also available stereo with CD, radio and tape)
Self-Catering Kitchen
•Worktop height 90cm. •Oven door is drop down, height of lowest shelf 0.3 metres, can be accessed from the side •Sink is 90cm high with cupboards underneath •Hob is 90cm high •Flooring is short pile carpet •At least 90cm free space between all furniture and worktops •Evenly lit kitchen with spotlights above work surfaces where required •Good contrast between floor, cupboards and other surfaces •Fridge with small freezer available, highest shelf in fridge 70cm

•There are handrails on both sides of the stairs.
Main Bedroom
•Double bed provided – 4ft 6” wide. •Bed height 66cm floor to top of mattress. •Non Feather duvets and pillows provided. •Sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases are cotton •Largest transfer space available to left or right of bed is 60cm •Bed is movable if more space is required to one side •Largest free space clear of doors and furniture is 160cm by 200cm
2nd Bedroom
•Single bed provided – 2ft 6inches. •Bed height 60cm floor to top of mattress. •Non Feather duvets and pillows provided. •Sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases are cotton •Largest transfer space available to left or right of bed is 0.75 metres •Bed is not movable if more space is required to one side •Largest free space clear of doors and furniture is 100cm by 75cm
Bathroom
& WC •Door width 60cm •Bath with flexible shower over with vertical hand rail to the right of the shower controls •Bath height is 56 cm. Integral bath rails available on both sides •Free space in bathroom (free of doors and furniture) is 0.8 by 0.5 metres •Toilet seat height 45cm •Space to right and left of toilet is 25cm. •Flooring is vinyl •Good colour contrast between floor, walls and furniture •No release mechanism on outside of locked door •Space under washbasin is not free of pipes.
Grounds and Gardens
•There is access to the garden / seating areas via a cobbled sloping pathway. Most of this area is covered with tarmac and is on a slope. It is lit by a security motion detector light at night.
Additional Information
•Poor mobile phone reception – best location in main bedroom window ledge. •The cottage is no smoking throughout •Pets are not allowed.
